Victor Hasselblad AB is the Swedish maker of medium-format cameras, founded as a trading company in Gothenburg in 1841 and turned to camera manufacture by Victor Hasselblad in the 1940s. Its modular 6x6cm system became the professional standard, and modified Hasselblad cameras documented the Apollo program, including the first Moon landing. In 2016 it introduced the X1D-50c, the first compact digital mirrorless medium-format camera. The company is majority-owned by DJI and produces around 10,000 cameras a year.
